Blood-curdling video of a snow leopard on a brutal hunt

The big cat took a gigantic risk in felling their prey.

If a snow leopard is hunting, they cannot leave the success of the operation to chance. This is because in the harsh conditions, it is not always possible for the big cat to have access to food. The snow leopard in the video below took such a risk for their feast that we are sure they used up some of their 9 lives.

The miraculous snow leopard

Looking at the video above, it’s no wonder you don’t want to believe your eyes. How could the big cat survive such a fall? And without letting go of their victim for even a second? This extraordinary feat is down to the snow leopard’s unique physique and incredible determination.

An apex predator in their habitat, the big cat is an excellent climber, active in temperatures as low as -40 degrees Celsius. A strong and beautiful animal with only one threat to them: humans. It is estimated that by 2040, the already not-very high population will decline by a further 10%, putting them on the endangered species list.
