When it comes to food, cats' determination knows no bounds.
As a cat owner, you are probably familiar with the phenomenon where your pet can act as if they haven’t been fed for days, even if you just fed them. A similar scene can be seen in the video below. The kitten has likely not been fed for several minutes, so when they had the chance to eat some corn on the cob, they jumped at it. They obviously love it, because they look just like a child eating chocolate—they’re covered from head to toe in leftovers.
It is a well-known fact that cats are predators and obligate carnivores. This means that they can obtain the nutrients they need to survive from meat-based food. However, it is not uncommon for them to have a preference for consuming plants. Fiber-rich vegetables and fruits can be great digestive treats. It should be remembered, however, that there are some foods that we humans can safely eat, but cats should not.
Although not every cat likes them, there are several fruits that cats can eat safely. We listed some of them in a previous article.
