I’m sure you’ve wondered how nice it would be to be a cat for a few days, just relaxing and eating all day, with nothing to do in life, and yet loved by everyone. But what we rarely think about is how much we can actually learn from these creatures. For they can teach us many very important things about life. Here are 10 lessons that cats can teach us.
Despite the fact that your cat’s inquisitive nature can often get him into uncomfortable situations and trouble, you can’t say it doesn’t do its best to satisfy your curiosity. If it is interested in something, it is guaranteed to get it. In fact, this can teach us a lot, since one tends to suppress one’s interest. But take your cat as an example, because if he is interested in something, its will certainly investigate it thoroughly
Cats are notorious for being very picky about who they let near them and who they don’t. Well, it’s no wonder really, they are excellent judge of character and know exactly who to vote for. But to those they do like, they make their affection perfectly clear.
Cats, when they feel tired, will simply rest and get a good night’s sleep. Well, there’s something to be learned from this. Because most of us tend to overwork ourselves terribly and don’t give ourselves room to rest and relax. So it’s definitely worth calming down sometimes and focusing a little on how good it is to be quiet and still.
If I had to pick just one thing to learn from your cat, it would be to always be very neat and clean. Cats take amazing care to be as clean as possible and always look their best. Well, you may want to master this trait yourself.
One of their most important qualities is that they always express their gratitude. And they can communicate this to you in many ways. Sometimes it’s through loud purring, showing that love you.
Cats just can’t get enough of the taste of fish, so they want to eat fish all the time. Well, you can really make an example of this, as fish is full of omega fatty acids, which are great for your health. Fish also contains collagen, which is an antioxidant and helps fight ageing.
Have you ever seen a cat who is anxious about what people think of him? Well, cats don’t care in the slightest, as they are fairly self-reliant and independent animals. You should learn to do the same, because who wants to spend their life worrying about what other people think of them?
Cats often spend hours in the sun just basking and enjoying life. They don’t stress, worry or fear, they just let themselves soak in the beauty of the present and find joy in being. Take time to just ponder the big things in life. Sit and let the breeze caress your face, the sun bake your skin and enjoy being alive, because life is short and fleeting!
9. Stretch regularly
If you want to be as flexible and athletic as your cat, stretch regularly. After all, it’s one of the secrets to staying really sporty and flexible!
Cats, unless they have serious mental problems, don’t tend to stress. They deal with their own problems each day and don’t worry about what the future holds. They enjoy the present and don’t worry about tomorrow. This is something we really need to learn from them, because how much happier our lives would be if we didn’t stress all the time. And, even if something bad has happened to you, don’t be discouraged, get back on your feet and everything will work out in time!
