The world’s saddest looking cat, Fishtopher, was finally adopted: this is how he was waiting for his dream owner at the shelter

Fishtopher is a 5-year-old cat who has become famous for waiting to be adopted with a terribly sad face. It is said that the kitten requires the company of people so much that even at the shelter, he was only willing to eat when someone was with him, he could not even touch the food alone. And for all this, he made such a sad face that the shelter workers fell in love with him, and they also shared on Twitter that Fishtopher was looking for an owner.

Amazingly, as soon as the post went out, garnering over 168,000 likes and 21,000 retweets. Personal stories about adoptions just flowed in the comments. Not long after, the shelter posted on its Facebook page that hundreds of people had applied to adopt Fishtopher.

Fishtopher has found a home

However, on Saturday, November 26, Laura Folts and her partner, Tanner Callahan, adopted Fishtopher. The couple also told nbcnews that they drove more than two hours to meet the sad cat. They also said that a tweet about the kitten caught their attention, and they even reported that even though they got there 1 hour before the shelter opened, there were already nine other people lined up to meet the famous cat. However, they were the lucky ones who could return home with the much-coveted kitten.

Fishtopher’s story has helped other cats find homes

And the most beautiful thing in the story is that not only Fishtopher found a home, but also many other kittens with his help, as the visitors were encouraged that even though Fishtopher found a home, they should not go home empty-handed, as many kittens are still waiting for a loving home. But not only those who arrived were encouraged to do so, but under the post they presented another 16 animals waiting for owners, which they were able to successfully adopt. Thus, the sad cat helped not only himself, but also many of his friends find a loving home.
